We, Steamhorse Interactive, offer interactive history workshops to help bring history to life in schools.
We believe that children learn best when they are enjoying themselves so we make our sessions interactive and fun as well as being full of learning and facts.

With sessions in everything from Prehistory up to WW2, we can cover the full curriculum of history for KS1, 2 and 3.

The session is lead by one of our small professional interpretation team who will be costumed and portraying a character from history bringing with them knowledge, stories and artifacts from the period.

Our sessions typically last from a half day session to a full day or as we have delivered in the past a week long history festival.

Whilst our sessions are based in History, they also cover other Curriculum subjects during the session and with follow-up worksheets, such as English, Maths, Science, Geography, Art, Music, Design, Games and Drama.

Shakespeare sessions are proving a real hit as are our new 'Explorer' sessions from with Characters from Drake to Shackleton.

Multi period topics such as Crime and Punishment and codes and code breaking allow Primary schools to look beyond 1066. We can also do this for our through time sessions; Travel, Inventions, Communications and Jobs through Time.
