Kiddy Cook's programme of award winning cooking workshops help to support an understanding of the food journey, healthy eating and activity and why looking after our health is so important. Our programme of cooking workshops support Ofsted and is underpinned by the national Curriculum subjects PSHE, Cooking and Nutrition.

"Being able to provide a programme of workshops which cover the intended curriculum area with such success is invaluable" Jenny Baxter, Ravenbank Community Primary School, Lymm, Cheshire

During each 90 minute session we aim to increase awareness of and encourage healthy food choices by offering each pupil an opportunity to develop scientific and culinary curiosity. Our workshops increase links between curriculum initiatives in keeping physically and mentally fit, and the provision of food in schools including practical cooking where young people develop knowledge and understanding of healthy eating, but also develop important skills in food handling and preparation. In addition our resorces provide support to other subjects such as PSHE and general science in making an important contribution to undertsanding nutrition and aspects of food hygiene.

Kiddy Cook provide schools with:

- Highly interactive workshops to include hands on practical cooking

- Detailed lesson plans, recipes and resources

- Learning objectives, outcomes and key skills

Kiddy Cook bring everything to include all utensils, aprons and ingredients. Recipes can be prepared in the classroom and then taken home to cook, so NO OVEN FACILITIES REQUIRED! And we'll give each student a wipe clean recipe card so they'll know what to do when they get home.

Costs: We charge £180/half day or £230/full day PLUS the cost of ingredients, packaging and recipe card @ £2/child. We usually work with half the year group at one time but will consider a full class if we have additional teacher/TA support.
