I am a storyteller and artist using stories to inspire imaginations, writing, drawing and the creating of new stories. Sessions in school might range from performance storytelling to storymaking workshops indoors using artefacts or outside using the immediate envrionment to set words in motion.
I often work with environmental themes - telling stories of the animals, plants and landscapes around us. At other times, we might go down historical paths with Roman, Greek and Viking myths and legends, the sorts of stories our Stone Age ancestors might have told and tales out of China and ancient Egypt.
My work has a strong visual element and we might make puppets to help create or tell stories or build pop-up landscapes or personal books to write in
I am a zoologst and have extensive collections of skulls and fossils if you would like something more scientific
