Animal Days Out (C.I.C.) is a not for profit community interest company based at an Outdoor Education Environment Centre in SE9.
We have a specific Animals For Therapy team with trained and qualified therapists and therapy assistants for mobile outreach in schools with Special Educational Needs and severe and complex needs provision or PRU. We also frequently work with charities and community groups supporting their schemes as well as our own holiday schemes, activity days and 1-1 or group therapy sessions at our environment centre including referrals direct from CAMHS.
Our therapy staff team are trained in basic Counselling, Animal Assisted Therapy and specific additional needs including learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, ASD and various physical conditions. Staff are highly experienced working with children and youth alongside existing health professionals (i.e. Nurses/Occupational Therapists/Physios) as well as the handling and training of diverse species (70 plus species).

We can provide sensory, therapeutic and educational activity sessions dependent on the needs and abilities of the Children & Young People within the school/year group or community group.
♦ Sensory and Therapeutic workshops delivered by an experienced and trained therapy staff team.
♦ Youth trained staff experienced in pitching and engaging with Children and Young People
♦ Motivated, inspirational leaders

♦ 5 million Public Liability insurance for all animal handling workshops

We are experienced working with the MOVE program and can provide suitable grooming activities and activities to support this model. Our Occupational Therapist advises on our Animal Assisted Activities and we have a BACP counsellor to facilitate certain therapy workshops so please discuss with a member of our team if there is anything in particular you would like to be included in your session.

In warmer months we welcome the opportunity to offer workshops in suitable and safe spaces outdoors as being outside in nature complements the workshops and this is the more natural setting for children and young people to engage with our animals and nature.

Therapy sessions are normally bespoke to meet your requirements and can be on our site or mobile outreach so please feel free to email or call us for more information.
