Join Ragnar Lothbrok or his shield maiden wife Lagertha, in our fun and interactive Viking workshop as they prepare your students for ‘The Great Viking Invasion of Saxon England’. Our practitioner along with the historical character will lead your students as their new war band through a series of engaging drama and curriculum based activities devised to explore and learn all about life as a Viking warrior during the Viking era!
Our Workshops are designed around the national curriculum to provide your students with a full overview of each subject and can be delivered as a WOW start to the topic or a brilliant way to test their knowledge at the end of the term.
Navigate your longboat through the treacherous seas of Scandinavia, get ready for battle as you examine the weaponry and armour the Vikings would have used, become a berserker and get ready to invade the Saxon settlements and scare the living daylights out of them. Will you earn your place in Valhalla?
Your students will also experience a group roleplay activity which focuses on Viking history unique to your region and get to ask their Viking leader any questions they want in order to learn more about the life of the invaders.
